Long time lurker, first time poster

Just wanted to chime in and introduce myself. I purchased an '83 300D turbo back at the beginning of September and have slowly been putting it back into a decent running order. So far this site has been very helpful as I learn my way around the car and have done all the basic maintenance to get it up to speed. As I get more into the serious renovations, I'm sure I'll be back even more.

I notice a few familiar names from the Atlanta area. If you couldn't tell by the signature, I'm generally a BMW man, but I picked up my 123 on whim (lowball eBay bud that I didn't think would go through) and have enjoyed wrenching on it so far. I'm always up for meets and the like in the area, so if any happen, please let me know.

Here's the only picture of the beast I have. It doesn't do it justice, as the paint on the horizontal surfaces is much worse in real life (I also have a set of sweet whitewalls on it now)

Hah. Hippie Sled. Too right. I have a nice set of euro bumpers for your car if you want. And some snake oil in a can. Another Atlantan to fight over parts at the pullapart with. Just what I NEED! :) Where abouts do you live?

Welcome to the forum, there are a bunch of W123/617 owners here so you should be able to find just about anything you need to know.
