616 front main oil seal
Its not necessary to replace the FRONT main oil seal just because you remove the upper pan, right?? take off the balancer and worse yet, putting it back on:eek: Or am I showing signs of laziness? I will replace oil pump and all bearings tho.

The seal is cheap. Removing and installing the balancer is difficult and risky. There is no way that I would leave an old seal (and seal spacer) in place if I had the balancer off for some other reason.

I'll check the allens on the pulley but pulling the balancer too replace the seal that is not leaking doesn't seem like a good idea. thanks for the input. |
