Heavy Duty Trunk Triangle?

I was at the junkyard today and was rooting around in a 220D W114 and was sorting through garbage and found....a trunk triangle with a vinyl cover!

This triangle has cast feet as opposed to the thin stamped feet of the others. Does anyone else have one of this type? It weighs over 5 pounds!

That's the same kind I got out of a 78 280E.

Does it fit in the trunk lid of a W123 sedan?

I think the only one that won't fit on the trunk bracket is the fuel can triangle. :D

The only thing I changed on my trunk was to move the springs a notch out.

Nice, leaking diesel all over the trunk contents.

Same as the one that is IN my 1984 300D Euro.

My 500SE has the same

Seems odd since my 6.9 has an older (presumably) and lighter (cheaper to produce) one and typically it's the other way around with things.

I did this and popped a weld on the spring bracket :(

I have those two, check the official triangle thread. I posted the differences between the heavy duty and the lighter versions. Yep, weighs a whole lot more and will probably not be blown away should you need to use it and place it on the road...

Thats the same one I have. But mine has little rubber feet.

Looks like the one I have in the SDL, but mine has rubber feet.

The one pictured has two of the 4 feet. The right two feet (when collapsed) are present, the other two are not. I dug around everywhere in the car and didn't find them.

See here the two types of triangles I have
