"Just how loud IS your straight pipe exhaust?"

Probably not as loud as my rattling cobbled together held up by plumbing straps and coat hangers excuse for an exhaust system... The mention of the sub $100 straight pipe has me thinking.

Mine probably makes more noise from all the BS I have holding it together, than from the engine itself!

I've never had cops look at me either....I have had people on the sidewalk or in other cars look if I take off real fast. Its fun to go past a line of cars waiting at a light at full throttle, the sound echoes off each car like....rrrrr...wham!....rrrrr....wham!.....rrrrrr...wham! Wonder how loud it is for the people with their windows down.....a sudden blast of sound and diesel smoke into the window.....

I meant between an open 2.5" and an open 3" there will be no difference. I also noticed the improvement between stock setup and an open 2.5" pipe.

Now that you've said that makes me want to build a replacement section so I can remove my muffler and re-install it if neccessary (3 bolt flanges)
