Anyone know how to remove a wagon hatch window?

Is it possible to do without destroying the seal? And the glass?
The defroster in my rear window does not work, but I have an old hatch that got damaged with a working defroster in the glass.
How should I start? If I have to buy a new seal, no big deal, just want to have the rear def. working before the snow hits.
Thanks,
-Geoff

It might be easier to repair the defroster. Auto parts stores sell kits for doing so.
If you really want to replace the glass, I suggest carefully cutting the old gasket. You'll need a new gasket no matter how you change out the glass.
