Both, the 617's & 603's come with their baggage. But I agree with you on the gasser.
I currently have a 300sd and a 300SEL the gasser is just so much smoother and quiet, the difference is amazing. I used to have a 1989 560SEL, best car I ever owned. I kick myself everyday for selling it.

Its amazing how cheap you can get them to. The local MB place has a very nice 300SEL with 150k miles on the lot, 1990 I beleive. Good black paint, very little rust, decent interior. Pretty much a clean driver that with a little work could be an excellent driver. $2,500. Bet I could get it for $2k cash off the lot, maybe less.

How much would the same 350SDL go for? Probably like $8k, screw that.
