I was told to check out uship.com and it is an interesting site. If you buy an item (on ebay or elsewhere) which is challenging to ship you can post there and shippers bid to transport it. It is assciated with ebay so it will upload your items automatically and each time a shipper bids it emails you and lets you decide if you want to accept their bid or not. It seems like a way to cut out those brokers that charge large fees to coordinate car haulers trips but is not limited to cars. You can post anything there (engines, parts, boats, equipment). I thought I would post here since we seem to be always looking to get heavy stuff moved from one of our front yards to another
This seems like a clever way to put the marketplace to work and saves us the time of tracking down shippers for all this stuff we buy! It is free for the listing and the shipper apparently pays a fee if he is the succesful bidder.
