can a 126 body door latch(mechanical).....
replace a 123 body door latch?
I have a 300D(84) and was given a 126 body(also mid 80s ish gasser I beleive) door latch and pin(?) to fix/replace my faulty one.

A bunch of parts are interchangeable between the 126 and the 123's. I believe the door stop strap is one of them.

i take it that this car is a daily driver ? otherwise couldne u just pull the old one out and compare ?
