No power assist brakes

I left the house this am and all was fine for about 2 miles. I then realized I had no power assist on the brakes. Windows and roof work fine (I am assuming it is vac related). Turned around and went home. Shut off car w/ the key and the engine kept running.

Shut her down and took the truck to work. Any thoughts on where I should start?

Can't remember if i have my car in my sig, so it is a 84 300D. True miles unknown.

Start it up again and check the main vac line to the brake booster. Your vac pump may have gone south.

I am not quite sure what you are assuming, but the windows and roof are totally unrelated to the vacuum system.

I would start by removing the nipple where the vacuum line connects to the vacuum pump. Inspect it to determine that the check valve contained therein is intact.

I thought (incorrectly??) that the windows, locks, roof and HVAC are all vac controlled in some manner.

In addition to the brakes, the trans, door locks, and HVAC are controlled by vacuum- not sunroof or windows.

The door locks are vacuum operated. The windows and sliding roof are electrically operated. The air distribution portion of the climate control system is electrically controlled, vacuum operated.
