You're kidding, right? They are harder to find and cost more also. You simply don't have the same level of availability.
If you have had good luck, then that is good for you.

Looks really nice on the outside. Shiny paint shows off well and I like the color. Spend some time on the seats with a small brush and a spray cleaner that will get the soil into solution and it'll be killer.

Agreed, few if any body parts interchange aft of the A pillar. Seats unique, too. Extra vac line for front seat backs. Mechanical, and dash similar tho.

Your CD is is absolutly beautiful, my favorite color. where did you steal it?
The sedans are for you family guys, the CD`s are for us old farts.

Back in 85 or 86 we drove an 82 from a used MB lot. black on black. they only wanted $22,000 for it then. figured I would wait until it got down to my price range. now they cost that much on E-Bay.

I could cry seeing yours. I lost one 2 months ago to a head on when someone crossed the line into my lane. I wish I'd taken pics. It was PERFECT. had a dime thin 1/4 inch scratch by the drivers door. Interior look like it had never been in. They handle great and my 84 123 was fast. Oh it's crying time again my baby left me. I can't find another. Ray

My CD looks just like that............if you're about 60 feet away and squint real hard. Kind of like when they use the "soft-focus" lens to shoot a Katie Couric interview.

Great car. Great color. If your car is simply your own personal transportation (no family to truck around), then the coupe is fantastic.

Am I kidding? I guess you missed the part that I've been driving those two 300CD's for 28 years, mostly working on them myself and I have not had a problem getting parts. Parts are not hard to find, you have to know where to go to get them. Getting what I need for the CD is like getting parts for my TR6 - people say,gee it must be hard to get parts for a car that old - I can get everything in the world for the TR6, frame, fenders, body tub, dash pad or wood, anything and everything new or used.
Further, what makes you think the parts cost more - having maintained my prior MB's (220D, 240D, 300D, 300SD), I have simply not found that to be the case.
If someone has a longer history of driving and fixing their own CD, sound off.
On the other hand, if you want to know what really is expensive to maintain - it's my wife's Land Rover.
