I LOVE the color Get some more pics of the interior and engine posted ASAP! If I could find a CD like that I could get my wife to drive a diesel with no problem.

How's it run, what are your plans with it?

Nice car, but I still prefer the sedan over the coupe. I don't understand why the coupes are worth so much more than the sedans, other than perhaps their low quantity. IMO the sedans look better and are more practical.

I agree that the sedans are more practical. But then the wagon is even MORE practical. I personally love ALL 123's but will probably get a sedan for the wife since the coupe specific parts seem to be more expensive and harder to find.

JackG, be prepared for the comments about the chrome wheels. Just remember if you like it, that's all that really matters … unless you're trying to sell it.

I don't have access to the carfax stuff but go to this link and put your VIN# in and you will get a list of your car's specs.

Yeah, but wagons are ugly! There's a good reason why the sedan is the most popular option.

OUCH! The wagon is an acquired taste. 10 years ago I thought they were ridiculous, now I love them.

Coupe parts are no harder to find that any other 123. I've been driving Elvira since new in '84 and before that I drove my '79 300CD from new until I bought Elvira. During that time my wife had a 240D, 300D and her current 300SD. Over the past 28 years of driving coupes, I have not found coupe parts any harder to find than on her cars, particuarily since so many of the parts are the same as the sedan - I even have a complete '85 sedan front end on my coupe after an idiot in a 190E pulled across four lanes of on-coming traffic and I T-boned him.

Beautiful

Interior could use a little work, but not bad. Helped my brother redo the front seats on his 1982, beautiful rig, put all the windows down and open the sunroof, let the turbo do its thing, really looks good.

I used to be determined to have a 300SD... I still think it's my 1st choice out of the whole range... but now that I've got a 300SDL, getting another w126 big body just for the 5 cylinder would be... a redundant use of my limited $. As long as the 300SDL keeps going, I think my next choice if I won the lottery would be the 300CD. Something with a 5 cylinder, anyway, and I love the coupes.
