What's wrong with my climate control?
I have a 1985 euro 300td with the three dial style climate controls. I bought the car this summer and the blower has not functioned since I bought it. I have not really investigated further, but found yesterday that if I have the fan switch turned on when I first turn the key to the glow plug position, the blower works. As soon as I turn the key further and actually start the car, the blower turns off and will not work anymore. Any ideas about what is going on here?
Thanks! Shane

fuse?
My 240d blower motor would not work. Checked all the fuses, no blown fuses. Removed blower and hooked it up to 12v and it worked great. Put it back in and replaced the fuse even though it looked good. The blower worked and has been working for 2 years now. Blower resistors could be shot .

Tach the culprit????
If you have a tach, klima reads tach signal from ash can on fender on 300sd. Bad tach signal and no heat or air. With engine not running, suppose system goes to default and allows heater blower to run. Hope this helps.
