W210 Drivers Seat Moves all ways but one
Yes I performed a search and really found nothing. On my wifes 97 E300 thedrivers seat will move all directions but back (so I cannot drive it now) I suspect the switch but want to make certain before I purchase parts. Anyone have experiance with this type of failure? Any help is appreciated!!

Had that problem on a W124. Was dirty contacts in the door switch. Was able to spray with electrical contact cleaner and get it working again. Just remember whenever you "test" it to test rearward, otherwise the wife will not be able to drive it either.

From my experience, it is easiest to take the switch out and spray it down with shop air at the highest pressure available. If still no workie, I spray a little electrical contact cleaner in it and then blow it out. 9 out of 10 swithes that were nonfunctional prior to this began working as they should. Emery cloth fixed the other one.

Thanks guys I am glad this sounds as though the switch is the problem and not the motor!!!
