w126 passenger electric mirror

Can anyone describe replacing this mirror. I assume it is removed in similar fashion to a 240D by taking off the inside plate. Where is the electrical connection? Does the door panel have to be removed? Thanks for any guidance.

John

If I remember correctly

The inside plastic triangle pops off (flexible). Then you'll encounter a triangle shaped piece of foam that covers the wire connector. The philip screws to remove the mirror will also be visible with the foam removed.

Not too bad.... again, this is all from memory.

Your memory serves you well. I just checked my FSM CD-ROM and that is exactly how it is described and pictured. Thanks.
