123 Head rest removal
Is there a trick to remove a stubborn head rest on a 123.

You have to pull the seat back off of the seat in question. One Phillips screw at the bottom of the back cover and pull down and off. Then on the left side I believe of the headrest shafts there is a spring loaded release button that you have to push to release that side.....

You do not have to take the back of the seat off to remove the headrest. On the back of the seat is a button under the surface that allows you to release the headrest stop. Trace a line down the back of the seat where the left ( facing forward) shaft goes down the seat. You will feel a indentation or bump depending on the year. Raise the headrest and push on that spot. It will release the headrest.
