Advanced Auto has the right Ball Joint rental tools
I think. It is certainly better than the AZ one. They have several pieces that actually fit properly.

SOME ROCKET SCIENTIST W*E*L*D*E*D THE BALL JOINT IN THE SPINDLE!@#!!W@ERQWEFQWEF@#R@#$!@#$ But yet brute strength and 2 bent cheater bars persevered and saved the day. Left side is done. UCA tierods and one !@#$@#$@#$ ball joint. The Advanced Auto 23 ball joint remover/press kit works just fine for this task. I dont think even the mbz tool would have broken that weld bead.

Right side was 10x harder than left side. I had planned on pics but that became pointless by the fourth hour. I ended up packing the spindle with dry ice to pop it off the LCA. Then the welding job on the BJ was far superior to the one on the right side. I broke my vise. It took a friend and and about 400ft lb force to pop it. Had these things not been welded and had it not taken me an hour plus to find dry ice I would say you could easily do the whole job in a day. I replaced my LCA bearings when I put my springs in. For the record I followed the directions from the DIY MB repair pages found on google at a web server near you.
