Getting ready to install rebuilt head on 617
I should be getting a rebuilt head preety soon to install on my 617.952 and have a few question.
1. My prechambers look good besides being a little carboned up. What the best way to clean them or should I put in new ones. Are new seal rings always used and if so there seems to be two sizes, 2.0 mm and 2.3. Mine measure out at 2.0mm but maybe thats what the 2.3 rings flaten out to? 2. What is the torque value for the PC collers 3. I have a 24 volt system and the the glow plugs are stamped 18V. Bosch part # 0 250 200 064 18V. Can't seem to find any Thanks Ray |

2. The threaded ring that holds the PC has a torque of between 110 and 130 ft.-lb. Surprisingly high, but, it's in the 617.95 manual. 3. This is news to me. I wasn't aware of any 24 volt systems on these vehicles. |

You could alway use 12 volt GPs and tap the timer supply between the two batteries (12v).
