'82 / '84 300D drive train question

I still have my '84 parts car with relatively new flex discs and center bearing (1 year, 10k miles) and I have my new to me '82 with considerable vibrations from underneath / rear end above 70mph. Would it make sense to swap the entire assembly (drive shaft with flex discs and center bearing) from the '84 to the '82 or would that be a waste of time?

Yes, it would make perfect sense.

Brand new center bearing and carrier with a quiet running driveline..........just swap the entire shaft with flex discs.

Make sure you mark both halves of that driveline by the slipjoint before you pull it out too, in case it gets separated during removal, so you can keep it balanced correctly.
