Hello,

I am considering to buy (and install) after market air conditioning for w124 300TD (T=tourer, not turbo), from http://www.alex-original.com/

Any experience with those kits, or some other after market air conditioning kit?

No experience with aftermarket AC for a W124 but I know it's a lot of work to disassemble the dash to fit an evaporator if there isn't one currently. Do they install the system or just sell the parts?

Wow. Didn't every 124 no matter the model or destination (country) of sale come equipped with A/C? I thought even the most basic 200's and 230E's came with the AC Delco R4 system??

Alex only sells the parts, but they usually have local partner that does installation (I am not sure one could even order directly from Alex).

No, in Europe many of them did not have AC, especially 200D which practically never had it installed.
