I get about 24-25 around town in my SD. It is a 126, but I don't think there should be that much difference since wind shouldn't factor in much at that speed and otherwise, same engine.

When did we get winter fuel? My last tank (filled on 11/1) did not show any decrease in economy..........SD still above 30.

I think we just got it. Last week when I checked my MPG went down 3/4-1, that tank was from OCtober 25th. This tank which I am about 2/3 of the way through seems like its burning the same.

I filled up on the 1st as well, I'll probably put another 15ish gallons in tomarrow.

My mileage drops from 21.5-22.5ish, to 20.5-21.5.

324 miles, and 11.206 gallons in the grey 300SDL. Not bad.... ~29 mpg, so long as you don't floor the accelerator off the line and always keep a steady right foot, with smooth acceleration through all gears. These things, especially without the ALDA, can guzzle if you are being quick-paced. 20 - 22 mpg sounds about right in the dead of winter if you are heavy into it.

I usualy let it up shift around 2k-2.5k. But its a heavy car, you can't expect much doing stop and go. When I go on trips it usualy does near 30.

Just because I miss you guys, and I'm a jerk..
My spreadsheet says 26.8 over the last 7K miles in my 87 740 Volvo wagon, 5spd 2.3L turbo.

I still want a diesel in it, though the B230 sounds like one most of the time..

We drove the 85 SD to the GTG and back on 4.7 gal. About 140 miles.
29ish MPG. We ran about 70mph, AC on going out. About 65mph coming home.

Sucks being diesel-less, it really does. I also miss an interior built worth a crap, driving the Volvo. I do however have a solid rear axle and a manual trans, and lots of room, and the opportunity to buy track grade brakes and suspension at will, which is kinda handy.

I imagine I'll end up back again, have to get this out of my system though..

At the $3.579 I was forced to pay for ULSD last night -- the cheapest in my area -- I think you'd better hang on to your Swedish gasser.

I get around 28 on the highway and maybe 22 in town in th S350D using turbine fuel. UlSD (when I have to buy diesel) gets alittle better.

What should I realistically expect out of my '84 300D? I'm figuring roughly 25 mpg under primarily city conditions?
