flashing brake indicator light

1st post here. Great forum here, makes owning my 300 D much more fun.

Nothing turned up on a quick search.

Recently replaced pads and wear sensors up front. All was well for the first few thousand miles. Just yesterday the light on the dash came back.

Weird thing is that the light flashes, and varies with speed. No change when I depress the pedal.

Any thoughts? TIA

Have you actually seen a 300D with rear brake pad wear sensors?

Tango - Did I insert foot in mouth? I thought the W123 had 3 of them; one on right rear in addition to the fronts?

No sensors on rear, (insert joke here!) you may want to check and make sure the sensors are seated properly.

Which light? The yellow wear indiactor or the red warning light?

If the red on, check the brake fluid level in the M/C

If the red is on, also make sure the parking brake pedal is all the way up.

Manual or automatic? Low fluid level in M/C has caused similar symptoms in my experience.

Yellow light, not the red one.

Fluid is fine.
