Not sure if this one will work actually. One member expressed doubt about this application. It doesn't make sense to me. Prolly, he tried this and his buggy started, so he attributted this to his repair.

I did try this on my MB, just because I was poking around and graping at straws. It did not help. No air came out only fuel.

To bleed the spin on filter u loosen the 17 mm nut on the engine side it is the nut towards the front of the car. The other nut is 19mm i think.

Nevermind, I figured it out.

I got the fuel squirting out of the injectors, the engine starts and revs, but won't idle. is it more air in the lines or is something not working anymore? What is responsible for keeping the car at an idle, the injector pump? I have a hand bulb-style pump installed in line, maybe this is creating a problem.

Idle, I believe the IP, yes. Sounds like you may be getting air introduced somewhere. I'm not familiar with "hand bulb-style pump", would you elaborate, please?
