Question Differential

Does 1975 Mercedes W115 240D 616 have a positive track differential?

None of the diesels up to the E300Diesels do. Only some of the gassers. (They are the ones that can actually skid the tires... )

None of the Diesels before the W210 had it.

LSD on diesels

As pawoSD said, the W124 1995 E300 diesel had ASD as an option, which is the hydraulically operated LSD. About 35% lock up at all speeds, and 100% lock under 19 mph that the hydraulic system controls.

I don't know if ASD was an option on the W124 1990-1993 300D turbo.

The 126 350SDL also had the option.
