Removing heat shields
Just got the injectors for my 300D rebuilt by Bosch, $265.00 out the door. Now, what is the best way to remove the old heat shields? I just bent a small piece of soft wire and hooked one out. I tried the same thing with another one and it doesn't want to move. Is there a secret to removing the old heat shields?
Thanks.

I've stuck a screwdriver in there and wiggled 'em a little. If they don't budge, disarm everything, get everyone in the vicinity to stand back and turn the motor over a little. They'll shoot out like little bullets. ;-0 .... But it works.

Mine came out zero problems with a small extending magnet.
