99 E300 P100 mass air code
I continually have this code. I replaced the mass air sensor cleared the code and I still have it. Could it be a K40 on the fritz. I have no other symptoms.

any vacuum leaks? How is the wiring on the MAF all the way back to the ECM?

Assume that by no other symptom you mean you have turbo boost throughout the rpm range.
How did you disable your EGR and trick the ECU to ignore that input? Did PO100 appear at that time?

Just thinking aloud here but can the throttle position sensor have something to do with the code? After all, for a certain amount of depression of the throttle, shouldn't the ECM think it should see a certain amount of air flow?

Thanks for your replies guys. Terry I did not get a P100 code when I did the egr mod. I did have to tap into the maf wire but it has gone 15k with no issues. I have checked the wiring and it seems fine. I will have to check it from the maf like you said akim.
No vaccum leaks.

Also the maf only comes on when it is idling at a stop. Never when driving at any other rpm.

Well it appears I received a faulty maf new out of the box. Replaced it with a used unit and all is well.
