Sheepskins and @%$#&* armrest !!!!!

How do you fit sheepskin (or other type) seat covers with a side mounted (W 116) armrest ? Is it easy to remove ?

It's been 10 years now, but I b ought matching sheepskins from this place:

www.ramsheadusa.com in Santa Rosa, California (it was in Sonoma then.)

The W126 has the center armrest attached to the seat also, but that didn't cause any problem for the installer (who was the owner, Andre M. from Austria, whose personal car had them also, it was a 1980 W116 300SD)

Perhaps you could call him and ask him how he did it? The sheepskin covers (2 piece each seat, fit AROUND the center armrest (which was NOT covered) but nevertheless somehow lowered and raised perfectly.

No problems with this set up in over 10 years of use.

I'd highly recommend the Ramshead company if you haven't bought the sheepsinks from them. GThey have many colors from which to choose, they are expensive, but the highest New Zealand sheepskins are used, I have seen the factory, it is professional and first class.

Must be doing something right if still in business, in a better and larger location after 10 years.

Buy a set of their sheepskin slippers, too, for winter, they are nice gifts.

Take off the back cover of the seat, unbolt the armrest, install the sheepskin, reinstall armrest, close everything up.

The back cover of the seat slides out from the bottom.
