hi guys when you told me about the vacum shut off and getting motor oil where its not supposed to be. i removed the vac.line and plugged it. but now i find oil at the ign. switch. where does the line go from here? and can i clean the line from the ign.sw.to vac shut off? with what? also do i need something new on ign,sw.? i,ll bet you guys will be glad if i ever get this thing fixed. thanks again Bobco

I dont know what is going on with your car with oil in the vacuum system. but from your master cylinder line there should be a line that goes into some distribution pieces which leads to lines going into the firewall on the drivers side of the car. The brown vacuum line goes to the ignition switch and a brown line goes from there to the fuel pump shut off. You are getting oil from your vacuum system into the ignition switch from the brown line


You may need to replace the vacuum pump but I am not familiar with that procedure.
