Another anal W124 owner needs help on petty little quirk
Whenever I take a left-hand turn, my check oil light comes on for the duration of the turn and goes off as I correct and straighten out. My oil is at the perfect level on the dipstick, it's not low or anything. I dono what the deal is here but it's quite annoying at night (it isn't your dimmest bulb in the cluster..).
Doesn't matter how subtle or steep the turn is, doesn't matter what RPM I'm at, my oil pressure is good and I'm only at 200,500 miles. What could this be? 1987 300D, 6 cylinder variant.

Could be
The oil level sender (near the drain plug.) There were a few redesigns for this through the years on the 603 oil pan moving the sender. I read it in the CDs somewhere. If you don't mind the expense, you could put in a new sender see if it continues.

There is some circuitry that removes "glitches" from things like cornering. I don't know where it is or what needs to be replaced, but searching for that might turn something up.

That's because the sender is on the left side of the pan..... Left turns will drop the oil level momentarily. The combi gage set in the IP has a delay circuit built in to keep the light from flashing under these transient conditions. It's not the sender, it's the delay that has failed. Now that you have shown the delay to be faulty, try turning up the boost, until you can get the light to flash on acceleration! Jim

Further addendum....
....it's not an oil "pressure" light, it's an oil "level" light.

on my car there is a steering link that runs right there. My level light sensor lead hangs pretty low... i could see how this might bump it or otherwise move it to cause an intermittent short/open circuit. Also mine is soaked with diesel oil, neglect from the previous owner. So while my light doesn't come on I could see how one might have issues. Try rerouting the harness so there isn't as much free length on it, zip tie it to something else so it can't move around and see if that helps.
