1984 300 SD Turbo -- locked trunk

The lock is jammed on the trunk and I was wondering if there is a lock that can be released or if I can access the trunk from inside the car. I've had a couple of people look at it unsuccessfully, but have not taken it to a dealership. Any suggestions?
