Question Why am I getting heat on one side and none on the other.

.

It is my wifes 1982 300SD.

And of course the heat works on the passengers side,
and not the drivers.

What the heck !

Anyone know what to look for ?

Thank You
RichC

Are you talking about the footwell heat? Footwell heat is controlled by a vacuum pod just up and to the right of the accelerator pedal. But my recollection is that one pod controls both sides so it seems odd that one side gets heat and the other doesn't.

Oops, I just saw it's an SD. I was talking about a D.

I'm having the same issue with me W123... but.. I inspected the mono valve and it has a few tears to the diaphragm.. Hopefully that will solve my issue.. If not its an ACC control unit issue

Heat worked great all summer, now winter is here (oops fall) is either
full on blow torch in detent only, or ice cubes. must be in the push
button ccu.
I`ll check that foot well pod, don`t get heat down there.

Heater core could be partly blocked... or a blockage outside of it in the ductwork itself.

.

Yes it is the footwell heat that I am having the problems with.

Still have not figured it out.

There is a lot of stuff under the dash.
You need to be a contortionist to get to the stuff.

Thank You
