240D starters interchange with 300D starters, with 300D startrs being more robust.

Maybe they have consolidated the listings?

im just assuming that you have a 617 engine in your car, and if you havent looked under there you havent noticed how much a beast this thing is to get out. so i would suggest for your own sanity take it to a local shop and have it rebuilt, yeah it will cost abit more maybie but trust me they will do a much better job and use much better parts than anything that autozoo sells. (the failure rate of autozone parts was 75% i think? i cant remember the percentage)

There's a starter for a California model with the trap ox with the solenoid in a different location. That probably accounts for the second listing.

I'll agree, stay from AutoZoo reman anythings. I went with ********, no problems yet. Local rebuild even better. As mentioned the 300 turbo starter can be bolted into a 240, bigger, stronger, better.
