Question '74 240D heater blower won't work

'74 240D blower won't work
I've gotten just about everything else to work (the damn odometer keeps hanging up on number 9) but the blower won't work at all. Any ideas on how to get to the switch on this thing? Any relays I need to know about? Fuse is good. I'd like to make sure the electric stuff is good before I take the motor out. But if I have to, I need some advice on how to get that thing out of there. My Chilton's book is useless on this motor. Many thanks.

My Father has a 73 220D that I did some heater blower work on. I recall there being 2 issues with his.... Think we all know about the corroding problems with the fuses, but check the small fuse box on the pass side firewall that has only 2 fuses in, they are for the fan. There is also a switch attached to a vac pot rod that's for the fan. It's located just above and toward the center console of the accelerator pedal in one of the most imposable places to get at.
Hope this helps.
