Wiring in my tach-84 190 D
 

My wife parked the 190 in the bar pit 2 years ago and since that time the speedometer and tach haven't operated. I'm finally gettin the smaller necessities such as these fixed or at least operable as time and finance permits. When I followed the tach lead up from the electomagnetic pick-up head to the other end I found where the wires were originally fitted to an outlet in the back of the clutch fan assembly. This electrical fitting was partially torn apart to the point that I couldn't solder and salvage the fitting. Is there another point in the car's wiring that would be sound to tap into as an electrical feed for my tach? I've gone this long without the tach so it's not the end of the world but it'd be nice to have back. Thanks for your thoughts guys.
