PSA: Monarch glow plugs suck

That is all. Any idea if Beru are better than Bosch? The Beru certainly costs more.

I'm told by a mechanic

heavy equipment guy - anything other than Beru and Bosch are not all that good.

I tend to vote for Beru.

Bosch is made in India. So far I have had to return those new plugs twice due to bad production (high or no resistance readings).

I hope Phil at fastlane sells Beru Germany. I will find out Monday.

BTW anybody know if Meyle glow plugs are made in Germany?

I have Monarks in my car now (bought before I was a member) which need to be used up before they are trashed. I also bought 10 Bosch plugs (now that I know better) as replacements when the time comes.
With the Monarks, So far so good; not so cold here in S. CA.

OK. THX for the info.

I ordered the Beru today from Fastlane Phil.

My originals were Beru and they lasted since 1979 so thats a track record !

Got the Beru plugs today Jan 3-08.
Made in Ireland. They look better made than Bosch.

Bosch made in France may be better quality control but you can not insure what country makes them doing an online purchase.
