Wind + Tree + 300D = :-(

So...I parked my 300D under the same grove of trees at my parents house like I always do when I'm there...

However, we had some pretty strong wind last night...and a tree limb decided to fall on my 300D...

It fell on the same spot where the car was already damaged, which is kind of good and bad at the same time...considering I'm sure it was already weak...

Anyway, I'm really quite broken up about it, especially considering the car cost me $100...but I am really starting to get attached to it...

So, this weekend I am going to spend some time with my hammer/dolly set and my MIG, and get her back into shape

Major suck though...

Sorry dude... That's rough. I heard you guys had some crazy wind, something like a 120mph gust recorded? Thats insane, and to think here in NJ everyone was bitc*ing and moaning about 60mph gusts! Do you have any pictures of the damage?

I had a friend who had a tree fall on his Chevette hatchback. The darn thing still ran ok afterwards, but had a crease in the roof!

Ouch that sucks. I was worried about that myself, so I moved one of my cars last night to avoid any issue. I didn't get much wind, but we did get like 4" of rain in 2 days.

Where abouts in Oregon are you 240Demon?

I just had a huge rock fly off a semi today while I was on my way home from the U-Pick yard.....and it severely cracked my drivers side of the windshield. That was a scary moment. It didn't break through though, windshield saved me. Now I have to pay the deductible on new glass though. At least I have coverage for most of it. Just added it two months ago too...pure luck.
