Top Speed on a E300D

Hi, i am wondering what would the top speed be for a 95 E300D?
It has the OM 606, NA diesel motor

Once...I get 118 but fill like she can go a liitle more(She is chipped)

Hey Ziggy, how did u chip the system? I thaught those engines are not mod friendly

So you got 118 miles/h in a W124 or was it a W210?

Hi ! I got 210 ,1997 E300D. SHE have modified ECU .I send ECU to Mr Oliver in "Speedtune"if I remember correct And 3 days later She was diffrent car .I'm not familiar what they done to ECU but other members on that forum suggestet so simply computer send message to IP to inject more fuel.Also I have plugged EGR valve and install aftermarket air filter(realy can't see any improvment...)I am not speed demon,simply like better pick up start .Tested her only once.Everyday commute do not cross 85 (She turn already 238 k miles!!!

I have taken mine several times to 118-120 4600 RPM not sure of the accuracy of speedo need a gps to confirm. Might go fatser with a little more room to run and a tail wind.

I'll have an opportunity to see what our new-to-us '96 E300D will do (although on winter diesel and cold but thin air) as we cross Nevada on I-80 in a few weeks. I'll take the GPS along for a second opinion. Hope we don't get a third opinion from a "disinterested third party."

On a W124 E300D probably 115-120. The W210 should do slightly better since the body is a bit slicker.

I don't have any idea how fast mine will go. Faster than 85, since it was still pulling strong. I'm not in enough of a hurry to help increase government revenue.

I can't imagine what a modification to the ECU could possibly do for the engine other than removing a speed or RPM limit. The computer is only a glorified rack modulator in my car.
