Got a spare tranny for very little $$ today!
I bought a tranny with about 165k on it for $300 today and picked it up over in Lansing, MI. I never realized how small they are when out of the car!
I got a heater core for $50 too. In excellent shape, I hope I never need it though! Just thought I'd share my finds. If I don't stop hoarding parts I will have no more room to actually work on the cars!!

Between the two of us, I think we're cornering the market in '80s Mercedes parts.
I'm starting to think I liked working space more than "just in case" parts though.

Very true. But the bright side is that once we have hoarded all parts in Michigan, we can sell them at inflated prices!

Never happen. I keep looking at cleaning out, then thinking what a pain it would be to need it someday. Just sold the badges from my Triumph, totalled in '77, this summer. Pack-rat for sure.
See you at the boneyard tomorrow? I have a little empty space beside the parts car, ...
