617.951 in a 300TD

I've got a line on a low-mile '83 617.951 and was wondering if it's shortblock could replace my 617.952's. I have an '82 300td turbo wagon, so it has to take the 952 head for the leveling pump; I'm wondering if that'll work. Also, will the completed frankenmotor fit in the wagon?

Much thanks

Yes. The engines are identical except the engine mount arms and oil sender housing. Change those and you have basically converted it from a 951 to a 952.
