Finding rear diffs w123 ?
Any place to find different gears for the rear online wouldn't mind swapping for few more mpg any place selling them or rebuilt units? junk yards around here come up with nothing

different ratio rear ends appeared in the 123 and 126 that will bolt in with no modifications. Some of the 126 rear ends will fit with some moderate modifications. Putting in a higher ratio will lower engine speed resulting in better economy and lowered engine wear and noise. The trade off is more leasurely acceleration and downshifting earlier on a steep hill. Generally when you swap the rear end in a 123 you need to swap the speedo to match it for correct readings.
