All dash gauges dead - 1987 300SDL

As I was driving yesterday, everything on my SDL dash quit working - speedometer, odometer, tach, oil pressure, fuel, temp, etc. The dash lights work fine. I checked fuses and the fuse chart, but was unable to determine the cause. Any ideas?
