Just the Cobalt SS with the big wing is supercharged and has a ecotec 2.0L motor that makes 205hp stock. The motor is german made, used in Opel's in Germany. The car is ok, and will defenatly spank any old TD benz. The new 08 Cobalt will be turbocharged with 250hp stock and faster.
Probably the kid missed a gear and you got ahead. If you feel like racing try racing a Mitsu Eclipse or Eagle Talon AWD from a light

LOL, that must be it. I really hate driving FWD cars, very scary at the limit.

It's pretty much been established that if the driver knew what he was doing, he'd smoke you. So I wouldn't run over to the "Kills" forum at that other forum and post about it just yet.

I've got a few kills under my belt too, mostly city buses and dump trucks. They were also unaware of the fact too.

congrats man just proves my point its the driver not the car
i play some realistic race car games and take cars with like 160 horse power against my friends who take the 670 horse i still beat them due to the fact i know how to control the cars better
granted they are games but thats how the train astronauts and pilots

205HP on a car that small?! Wow, that must produce a lot of torque. I had a Thunderbird SC once upon a time. I think it was 225HP and probably weighed at least twice what that Cobalt does. It was still pretty fast.

Mustang? It was a Nissan Altima. I also beat a co-workers Plymouth Laser from 0-90 last month.

I've beat some cars on the freeway between 75-105 mph....they just don't have the torque. Our minivan rev's up to 5000rpm at 95mph and maybe gains 1mph every few seconds after that....super slow....and huuuuge fuel consumption.

I get alot of bozo's in Vtec whatever's that try to beat me from one light to the next, not realizing that I have 4 gears and they're only counting on 3they don't know benz, I just hold 3rd little longer than I usually do and I very quickly wipe the smirk off their face the turbo noise sometimes throws them off.

Here is some good racing:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBWK-oNACyM&feature=related

Notice the super sweet and sexy Porsche flat six is drawning out that god awfull buzz saw Honda calls an engine.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_lFGOhwxkQE

All bow down before the might of the Renntech Bi turbo V12. The Supra did good, but the S600 can do something the Supra can never do... The next day you can load it with luggage and take it on a trip in ultamate comfort, or drive clients around. Not bad for a 5k pound limo.

Beat by a family sedan.

Basically, the slowest 4 banger passenger sedan does 0-60 in 10 seconds nowadays.
