210 availability - conversions with more gauges?

I was thinking the other day the my dash seems a little sparse for gauges. The only thing offered is fuel and temp. It sure would be nice to at least have oil pressure. Were any 210's available with better instrument clusters? will any of the other models cross over to this one? It would be mighty convenient if the left module from another car would bolt right in!

Nothing was available from the factory as far as I know, but look what a great job was done adding aftermarket gauges:

Yes you can install a MY 00+ cluster in the older W210's only problem is a lot of modification is necessary. Also its very rare to find a 00+ diesel cluster, as they were only available in europe.

Thanks, I'll probably just go with an aux set of gauges. Chip did a beautiful job on that install!! I always tend to try to make things look like they came from the factory before adding on extra stuff...

The setup in the linked thread (post #2 here) looks nice, but I'm not going to give up my cubby nor cut holes in the panel.

How about an A-pillar setup? Yes, it would look like it belongs on a Honda, but it would be more visible. I've never seen one; perhaps there is no market.

That does look really nice... Used the fuzzy fabric too! I still plan on putting mine in the ash tray. I have the gauges, just need time to put them in.

Scangauge gives you access to lots of data (except oil pressure) but is not as elegant as the round analog ones. I like it because I can monitor average and instant MPGs and it only took about 10 minutes to install it.

I've got my Scangauge and love it, but I am looking for a clean manner of installing additional gauges near my line of sight... EGT and Boost are the first ones to come to mind... If the A pillar isn't feasible for a clean install some sort of gauge pod located above the center console on the dash would be nice... I have an analog phone taking up space in my Center console but that location is far enough away from the windshield that I don't find it useful...
