There's absolutely no accounting for taste. Why would you bastardize a Benz like that?

SBC chevy 350 with a hydraglide transmission?

Pretty good setup if you are looking for straightline speed. The guage setup isnt that bad either. Its clear though that this is to be a daily/street driven car with aspirations towards the drag strip(and not vise versa) because of the placement of the fuel guage/speedometer. If it was a full drag car fuel and speed are tertiary in terms of important-in-your-face guages(oil pressure, oil temp, water temp, RPMs, boost/nitrous pressure).

Interesting setup though.

I like how they put the fuel gauge dead center. Probably a good consideration for that setup. Kinda stupid to mount all those other gauges on the glove-box door though.

NO, NO NO!! That thing is such a hack job!!

If you're going to do it, do it right. The guy didn't even attempt to keep anything on the outside or interior even remotely original looking. Outwardly, by looking at the car you shouldn't be able to even tell that it's got a Chevy in it. The only slight, and subtle give aways on my car are the six speed shifter, to those who even notice it, and the sound, until you open the hood. Should be done with all the original gauges in place, and functional, and none of this "High School Kid" Flare. The Gauges everywhere, the half-assed instrument cluster, is this guy kidding or what? Looks like an early 80's Camaro, Type of job. Probably got "Deep Dish" Crager SS rims on it and There's probably a "Twisted Sister" CD, in the CD changer.

Nick
