Hey neighbor! Congrats on the new car! I just dove into a project car here in Phoenix, I live in Chandler, nice to see another local here!

BTW, lose the silly dash cover, and it's hard to hear the engine over the radio (that sorta defeats the point of a test drive, doesn't it?).

Hah, forgot i even had the dash cover on. I put it on to see if I could live with it, so that I can have a perfect dash ten years from now. But it sucks, I love the clean dash. Ill just put a car cover on it, much better anyway.

Yeah, I guess steal isn't really the right word. A very low mileage, well kept, 2nd owner, no rust, original paint, hell of a find is more fitting. Heh, I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder... All of my neighbors think I'm crazy and have no appreciation for the finer things in life. I'll let them live their lives in debt, I'll take the other road. ;)

You paid a fair price for a good example, it was a good deal for both parties.

I know they help preserve the dash, but I really hate the way those covers look. A car cover is better to keep the sun off everything, especially in AZ.

I'm with Hattie and a couple others. Fair price for a nice car, and like you said, "a nice find". And nice to have a verifiable chain of mileage as these odo's quite often slip at some point.
Oh, and SRJoe, you seem to be coming around. See, it ain't hard being nice to folks with similar interests.....;) Save the venom for the idiots. At least they deserve it. :D

I use to have a crooked oil cap, then noticed one day a guy had a
straight one. I was bummed out:rolleyes:.

I tried to see if I could turn it, but no deal.

Then In Pick N Pull I noticed the ones that were straight, had the MB star
stamped in the metal along with the word OEL.
I now have about 7 or 8 :D. Life is good now.

I think the other ones are for the fuel filler, at least I had one on mine.

I had a plastic one for a short time and it leaked, they look cheap.

Congrats on your new cars, take care of them & they will last a long time.
