722.118 valve body diagrams WILL PAY!

I need some diagrams showing where the check balls go in my 722.118 valve body. After reassembly I found that I had 3 balls that had fallen out. If anybody has the factory manual and can copy the needed diagrams I will paypal you $10. Of course if you wanted to make it a Christmas present I would be fine with that too! Thanks, I am up a creek without you guys!

Thanks Hawthorne, that would be a huge help. If anybody has a more immediate solution please let me know. Do you think a transmission shop would be of any help? What o you think they would charge if I took in a mostly complete valve body?

if you look very carefull at the seperator plate you will see shiny spots where the balls have been sealing/slamming against the plate giving away there locations.

this worked for me in the past on other types of trannies BUT i never took a mercedes apart.

Hope it helps Steve

I have an ATSG manual I can send your way via e-mail. I think it is for a 722.3.4 or something. May not work for you. PM me and let me know. Eric.

You might try downloading this PDF file catalog. Someone posted this link a couple of days ago and it had pics of tranny parts.

Thanks Eric, I believe the 722.3 has a different valve body. I found this website
http://www.transtec.com/tech_insert/94642.pdf
Which would have been perfect if I had a 722.3 or 722.4. I did look at the plate and could only find the marks where there are already balls. I am not sure which "level" they came from. Did mercedes make a 722.118 manual? Is this a needle in a haystack? Thanks, I really appreciate everyones help.

This manual is discontinued, but if you can find it used at one of the vintage auto manual/literature specialty shops?????? Might have to check Hemmings, internet search, Ebay; but there are a couple of stores (just can't remember their names) that specialize in out-of-print auto manuals.
