oil bypass filter installed

Well I installed a amsoil eabp100 bypass oil filter.

It gets it's supply from the oil filter housing through a 1/16 restrictor and returns to the valve cover over the timing chain.

I am running mobil 1 5w40 full synthetic diesel oil ( 10 quarts )

The many miles i am putting on this vehicle doing courier work would have me changing the oil every three weeks or so.

I hope i can extend my drain intervales with this system!

I will report back as i see results.

Not sure of the outcome.

I will post pics of the install when i get the chance (two jobs make steve a busy boy)

Yes, with that system you should be able to extend your oil change interval to infinity.

Only an oil analysis at a suitable point will tell the tale. The bypass filters do an acceptable job, but they are no panacea.

And on the same note, not all bypass systems are created equal. I can't wait to see what kind of results come back from the lab once I install my German-made bypass kit on the 300D. It works incredibly well on my gasser.

Be sure to do some lab testing and post the results! A few of us here are really in to this stuff.

I'd love to see some pictures of your install. I'm thinking of installing the amsiol bypass on my 93 1 ton dodge. Do you know when you could have them up?

Fireman1073,

I have just recently purchased an amsoil bmk 11 bypass oil filter kit. I was wondering if you could give me more details about how you tapped into the oil filter housing for the feed line. Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Matt
