I think basicaly anytime anyone says wvo/svo, they basicaly mean biodiesel. When state laws refer to wvo, they also note biodiesel in the same context.

Other way around. Most people mistakenly name WVO and SVO as biodiesel when it is not.

A also agree that WVO use is something like a fad and it will not last forever. I just want to keep running our vehicles on it long enough to save enough money to buy (and the prices come down) a really good fully electric car - something along the lines of a Tesla roadster, or perhaps the Tesla sedan/wagon when it becomes available. By that time I will have our solar PV and/or solar thermal system up and I can drive on the sun. Good one! Have you been reading Noam Chomsky lately?

Sapp Brothers
4810 Olive St Commerce City, CO 80022 B20 available next to the Diesel pumps for the same price as D2. Only problem is they stop selling it in winter. Blue Sun is sold at many locations around Colorado. http://www.gobluesun.com/biodiesel_near_you.php#colorado Upgrading the fuel lines is not needed for B20. I used B20 for several months without any leaks developing. |

Forced, thanks for the info...I'll be paying these guys a visit. Winter B20 availability not a problem. Most of the passes don't clear until about June anyway.

So if you produce your own biodiesel is it legal?
Forced, I did read a government webpage once stating the laws about biofuels and in the document they stated it was in the same regard. However, thats probably just for whatever state that appied to. Anyway, nice. We need to stop people from hacking these cars up, if its illegal we should be able to stop that greenbenz ebay fag right?

I started this thread just to mention a pretty good deal on VO but as I feared, it got out of hand.
I have a fireplace that was converted from wood to gas. Fireplaces were designed to burn wood so I guess I hacked up my house and have sinned. My laptop was designed to process data, but I use it to make phone calls via Skype. That wasn't the intention when the microprocessor was invented so I guess I've hacked up my laptop. None of my Mercedes were designed with a video system, just a stereo. I've had the original stereo removed from all and had video systems installed. Yet another hack job that I shouldn't have had done. God created my wife with a reproductive system but it's been removed. Guess that's another hack job as that system wasn't designed to be removed. My point is, it's none of your damn business what I do to my cars. I'll be glad to post my address if it bothers you that much and you can turn me in for breaking the law.

Nobody was arguing the current legality of using WVO as a fuel. Those laws will need to change, just like they needed to change for bio diesel.
And the laws are changing ...(unless Forced runs for Senate ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrteKrFDUQQ Happy New Years y'all.

Driving half price
I have owned a 92 dodge with a cummins and a 85 300d both I have converted with no ill effects as long as regular diesel purges are done. I'm in the process of converting a 99 e300. I pay taxes on the diesel I purchase. The veggie conversion just stretches the diesel out. The same could be said about the hybrid cars that run part time on electric. Should they be taxed, and how? To each his own.
