Blinking light on defroster switch 1987 300D Turbo

OK, I have searched the forum to no avail.

Has anyone encountered this: I switched my rear defroster on the other morning and the yellow LED in it (that says its on) blinked three times. Is it giving me a code or a warning?

I think it blinks when the battery voltage is too low..
Seems like I read that in my owners manual. I could be wrong.

Make sure the defroster on the window is getting full voltage.

Bingo. Light will return to normal as the engine revs come up and voltage is back to normal.

big TY

thanks alot guys...I just never noticed this behavior from the switch before, I guess the combination of a cold morning (long glowing) and frosty rear window tend to pull some amps outta the battery,
