1967 W110 200D Update with pictures!!!
Ok so I spent all day working on the 200D. Changed the oil cleaned the terminals to starter and adjusted the valves.
Cranked and cranked and finally pulled the lines to the injectors off the IP and nothing was coming out as I was cranking. The IP is getting fuel but it is not spitting anything! So I have figured out it is all in the IP. Here are a couple pictures

Gently tap the side of the pump with a small hammer. If that does not work try hooking up some MMO as if you were doing a Diesel Purge, open the injection lines and cranking on it for a few 30-second intervals.

The Eldorado pick up actually caught my attention. Now that's a rarity.

There is a procedure for bleeding the air from the fuel system and IP you need to follow. Here it is, from the Glenns manual.

i been working on a 67 200d that sat for 14 years and may be able to lend a hand.
take the valve out of each feed port of the ip,(ip to injector),crank the engine while watching the plunger inside the ip port of each cyl output,if the plunger dont go up and down then they are stuck in place, most likely stuck in the up position. all four of mine was stuck in up position. the plungers are operated up by a cam shaft, and are returned back down by a spring. as i remember, i figured out the engine timing, got each piston farthest away from its firing position(that ment that the ip plunger should be down) so if it was up i could take a small brass punch and help the spring return the plunger to its down position and by doing this many times for each plunger and soaking the ip with solvent(porter t2) i got it working. the old fuel looked like maple syrup. larry perkins lou ky |

one thing i forgot, drain the lube oil from the ip and refill to the top with tranny fluid.(i did cheat and mixed wd40,seems like 25%wd)
the springs are at the top of the ip crank case and this will help free up the return springs as you rotate the engine. drain and refill with oil after all is done. larry perkins |

The car will run on wd 40 sprayed into its intake directly if it has compression and the glow plugs work.
My favorite machinist and I got a 180d pontoon started that had been sitting for a long long time after replacing a few glow plugs and making sure it was getting fuel. Tom W

I did put a little bit of propane in the intake and tried to start and it burped. So I am faithful that it has good compression. It really wanted to start with the propane, So I am sure once I get the injection pump figured out it should start up.
Cheers

Caddy PU were an after market Mod. built for the funeral industry. they originally had a removable canopy that looked just like a hearse. I always letched for one 0f the 51 to 53 models. gorgeous. And before cad became a POS.

Well not the PU. That is actually a special truck made for the texas market for those rich rednecks that had to have a Caddy but also wanted a truck. There was also the after market funeral coaches, but those are completely different then this one. It is a very strange car.
But anyways. Just a little blah on that thing! Cheers

Interesting set of videos. How well I remember the Texas Caddy pickups. I saw a few around here. There was also a 71-72 Caddy stationwagon built on a Sedan Deville body as well. A local millionaire had a couple.
