perferable? I'll take leather. I've currently got two '87s, one leather and one tex, I like the leather much better. They are equally durable if taken care of but the leather is much less common in the 300D and 190D than tex, ... in the 126 and 140 it was standard, all about price in the E class.
The car does not have a passenger airbag, nor leather, heated seats, reading lights, orthopedic seats, stereo upgrade, ... pretty much nothing optional on the car. Nice colors and apparently condition, but I'd question the mileage with the wear on the CCU buttons and steering wheel.

You're right: this car has MB Tex, which is preferable on a 19-year-old car (mine looks brand new). And it certainly doesn't have side airbags, either. I believe the '91 (including mine), had the anti-lock brake feature.
